Description:

NimbusWx is a specialized weather forecasting platform that provides visualizations based on raw numerical data sourced from industry-grade weather models. Built upon the widely recognized SpotWx website, which serves professionals across North America and globally, NimbusWx aims to deliver a more detailed and transparent forecasting experience.

In version 1.2, the platform introduces a notable feature: the ability to create a customized AI weather forecaster powered by ChatGPT. This addition allows users to generate tailored forecasts by selecting specific weather parameters and influencing the behavior of the AI-driven predictions.

What distinguishes NimbusWx from conventional weather applications is its commitment to transparency. The platform grants access to raw weather datasets, typically restricted due to their complexity and the software required to interpret them. NimbusWx transforms this data into an accessible, visual format, enabling users to analyze and forecast with a level of detail akin to professional meteorologists.

Key features include:

Customizable AI weather forecasting that lets users specify preferred weather variables and forecast styles.

The capability to select any global coordinates for localized weather insights.

The option to view and compare multiple model outputs at chosen locations.

Storage of favorite sites for quick access and repeated analysis.

Visualization of model-simulated altitude, along with spatial and temporal resolution details.

Access to advanced meteorological metrics for comprehensive analysis.

The current mobile platform supports several prominent weather models, including:

GFS (Global Forecast System)

RDPS (Regional Deterministic Prediction System)

HRDPS Continental (High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System)

HRDPS 1km West (High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System)

GDPS (Global Deterministic Prediction System)

NAM (North American Mesoscale Model)

HRRR (High-Resolution Rapid Refresh)

RAP (Rapid Refresh)
